Early today, police apprehended Selina Hayat Ivy, the former mayor of Narayanganj City Corporation, at her ancestral home, 'Chunka Kutir,' located in the Deobhog area of Narayanganj city.
According to the police, Selina Hayat Ivy has been charged in five cases, including murder and attempted murder, at the Siddhirganj and Fatullah police stations in Narayanganj during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
She has been arrested in connection with a murder case at Siddhirganj Police Station. Additional Police Superintendent Tarek Al Mehedi reported that authorities conducted a raid on Ivy's home last night and apprehended her early this morning. According to the police official, she has been taken to the district detective office and is scheduled to appear in court at noon.
