Ghana international Antoine Semenyo has evaluated AFC Bournemouth's performance in the recent season, stating that the team surpassed expectations. The Cherries concluded the 2024/25 Premier League season in 9th place, earning a total of 56 points from 38 matches. Bournemouth wrapped up an impressive campaign by securing victories against Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, and other notable teams.
Reflecting on the performance of his outfits, Semenyo stated, “I believe it all began in pre-season. Everyone was eager to get started, aiming to replicate our success from the previous season. I think we’ve actually surpassed expectations.”
He continued, “It really comes down to our philosophy: the focus on high intensity and the right mindset. Everyone here has a top-tier mentality, and our position speaks to that,” he shared in an interview with Showmax.
After a strong showing in the recently concluded season, Semenyo and Bournemouth are looking to maintain their momentum in the upcoming campaign.
The Ghana international scored 11 goals and contributed four assists in 37 appearances during the recently concluded season. Additionally, Semenyo has become a sought-after transfer target for multiple clubs following his standout performance this past season.
