Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's official residence, Bungalow number 1 on Raj Niwas Marg, is set to undergo a renovation costing Rs 60 lakh this month. The Public Works Department (PWD) has issued a tender notice indicating that the primary focus of the renovation will be on upgrading electrical fixtures. Bids for the tender will open on July 4, with the project expected to be completed within 60 days, according to officials.

Ms. Gupta has been allocated two bungalows—1 and 2. She will reside in bungalow number 1, while bungalow number 2 will serve as her camp office.
The tender, released on June 28, outlines that of the Rs 60 lakh budget, Rs 9.3 lakh will be spent on five televisions. Additionally, 14 air conditioners will be installed at a cost of Rs 7.7 lakh, along with 14 CCTV cameras for Rs 5.74 lakh. The residence will also feature an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system valued at Rs 2 lakh.
Other planned installations include 23 remote-controlled ceiling fans for Rs 1.8 lakh, one OTG (oven toaster grill) for Rs 85,000, an automatic washing machine for Rs 77,000, a dishwasher for Rs 60,000, a gas stove worth Rs 63,000, microwaves totaling Rs 32,000, and six geysers for Rs 91,000.
Furthermore, the tender specifies the installation of 115 lamps, wall lights, hanging lights, and three large chandeliers, amounting to Rs 603,939.
