The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has chosen the Dubai International Cricket Stadium and Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi for the Men’s T20 Asia Cup.
The Emirati venues will host the tournament, scheduled from September 9 to 28, featuring eight teams.
Group A includes India, Pakistan, Oman, and host UAE, while Group B features Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong.
“The Asia Cup is more than just a tournament; it’s a celebration of Asian cricket,” said ACC President Mohsin Naqvi.
“Hosting it in the UAE enables us to bring the excitement to one of the most vibrant cricketing hubs globally.
“Dubai and Abu Dhabi are well-prepared to provide a seamless, world-class experience for players, fans, and broadcasters alike.
“We believe the 2025 edition will not only set new standards for excellence but also strengthen the bond between the game and millions of dedicated supporters throughout the continent.”
The Dubai venue is set to host 11 matches compared to Abu Dhabi’s eight, including the final.
The event was initially planned for India, but the ACC changed the host to prevent a repeat of the situation from the 2023 edition.
The 2023 tournament was meant to occur solely in Pakistan, but India declared they would not compete in the country.
This resulted in Sri Lanka co-hosting with Pakistan to satisfy the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
