Despite increasing media attention, the Kremlin has rejected any links; in 2020, Putin’s spokesperson claimed the president had "never heard of her."
A woman thought to be a daughter of Russian President Vladimir Putin has appeared again on social media, claiming that an unnamed man has “destroyed” her life.
In a Telegram post, 22-year-old Elizaveta Krivonogikh posted a photo of herself and stated: “It feels freeing to reveal my face to the world once more. It brings back memories of my true self and the person who ruined my life—the man who claimed millions of lives and has destroyed mine.”
As reported by the news outlet, although Krivonogikh didn't directly name Putin, the German newspaper Bild, which accessed the Telegram channel called 'Art of Luiza', indicated that the context implied she was referring to the Russian president.
Despite increasing media attention, the Kremlin has rejected any links. In 2020, Putin's spokesperson stated that the president had "never heard of her."
Public interest in Elizaveta was rekindled last year when Russian artist Nastya Rodionova, currently in exile, alleged that she had been using the surname Rudnova while working at a Paris gallery that showcased anti-war art.
Rodionova ended her relationship with the gallery, stating it was “unacceptable” for someone from the Putin family to be linked to that venue.
Who is Elizaveta Krivonogikh?
Elizaveta Krivonogikh is thought to be the daughter of Vladimir Putin and Svetlana Krivonogikh, who allegedly worked as a cleaner before becoming a stakeholder in Bank Rossiya.
Despite the Kremlin's ongoing attempts to maintain secrecy around Putin's personal life, various reports have connected Elizaveta to the president over the years. She used to lead a noticeably lavish lifestyle, posting glimpses of designer outfits and private jets on social media but has since gone mostly offline following Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
Elizaveta is said to have graduated in 2024 from ICART, a Parisian school that focuses on arts and cultural management.
Wealth and a connection to Putin
Her mother, Svetlana Krivonogikh, allegedly moved from being a cleaner in St Petersburg to becoming a major stakeholder in important Russian companies.
Among her holdings is a substantial share in the Bank of Russia, which the United States has referred to as “Putin’s personal cashbox.” In 2020, the Russian investigative outlet Proekt estimated Svetlana’s net worth to be around 7.7 billion rubles (roughly £74 million at that time).
