We need more individuals like Yaneth Marín, who transformed the living conditions of a struggling Panamanian family. This family had a latrine that was in dire disrepair, failing to meet even the most basic standards. The three children had to wash themselves in these unacceptable conditions. However, thanks to Marín and her supporters, their quality of life improved significantly when they constructed a new bathroom, complete with a toilet and shower, in just four days.
In just three days, a fundraiser was organized, followed by two additional days dedicated to purchasing supplies for the project. This process was not without its challenges, as the site conditions and weather made it difficult to transport materials. There are videos showing Marín and the children carrying supplies up the hill. Marín expressed her gratitude to all the donors, stating, “You have given dignity, hope, and well-being to a family in need. Your generosity has transformed a simple bathroom into a symbol of love. Thank you for demonstrating that when we unite, we can change lives.” Beyond the bathroom, any remaining funds were used to buy food, a bunk bed for the children, and a table with chairs. The children joyfully exclaimed, “Thank you to Yaneth’s friends for helping us; we are very happy. Goodbye and have a great time,” as they excitedly opened the door to their new cabin.
