This victory marked Satwik and Chirag's fourth win in six encounters against Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin. After a two-month hiatus due to injury and illness, the Singapore Badminton Open will be their third semi-final appearance of the season. They previously reached the semi-finals at both the Malaysia Open and India Open earlier this year. Notably, their defeat in the India Open semi-finals was against Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin. Currently, Satwik and Chirag are the only remaining representatives from India at the Singapore Badminton Open.
In the semi-finals, they will compete against Malaysia's Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik, who are two-time Olympic bronze medalists and the third seeds. India's singles journey at the ongoing BWF Super 750 tournament concluded on Thursday, as HS Prannoy and two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu, the 2022 Singapore Open champion, were eliminated. Additionally, Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand, along with Rohan Kapoor and Ruthvika Shivani Gadde, also exited the tournament on Thursday, marking the end of India's campaigns in women's doubles and mixed doubles, respectively.
