Amazon is expanding its footprint in Mexico City with the launch of its new DXX2 logistics station in the Coyoacán district, which spans 7,500 square meters. This facility will create 150 direct jobs, adding to the 3,000 employees already working in the city.
The DXX2 station is part of Amazon's logistics network in Mexico City, which also includes the DMX6 stations in Gustavo A. Madero and DXX1 in the Cuauhtémoc district, the latter being the largest of its kind in Latin America. The strategic placement of these centers aims to enhance distribution in one of the most densely populated urban areas, where demand for e-commerce is high.

According to company data, by 2024, Amazon plans to integrate over 6,500 local sellers into its platform in Mexico City. Additionally, this expansion is expected to create 18,000 indirect jobs and contribute a total investment of 50 billion pesos towards infrastructure and operations in Mexico since the company's entry in 2015.
"This growth is essential for attracting more sellers, allowing them to focus on their business rather than spending time on logistics and online sales development," stated Arturo Del Oso, Amazon's logistics coordinator. In Mexico City, over 7,400 independent sellers are offering their products online through Amazon Mexico.
“At Amazon Mexico, we continuously strive to enhance the speed and efficiency of our services. Our logistics network, with Mexico City as a key component, enables us to deliver products to Prime members on the same day in 14 cities nationwide, including the Mexico City Metropolitan Area,” said Diana Frances, general manager of Amazon Logistics.
