Breast Cancer Foundation Announces Logo Competition to Celebrate 60th Anniversary

0
The Cook Islands Breast Cancer Foundation (CIBCF) is calling on local artists and designers to create a striking new logo that will represent the Foundation for the next decade, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of the Cook Islands' self-governance in free association with New Zealand.
The selected design will be prominently featured on various merchandise and promotional items in the coming years, including T-shirts, singlets, caps, sunglasses, notebooks, magnets, and bracelets.
“This is a pivotal year for both the Cook Islands and our Foundation,” stated CIBCF President Jaewynn McKay. “We seek a fresh design that embodies hope, resilience, and the strength of our communities—one that honors our history while confidently looking toward the future.”
The Foundation last held a logo competition during its 50th anniversary in 2015. The two winning designs, created by artist Kay George and designer Edna Torea Allan, have become well-known symbols of breast cancer awareness in the Cook Islands and beyond.
Submissions for the 2025 logo competition are now open and will close on July 31, 2025. The chosen logo should be versatile enough for various print and digital applications and should embody the Foundation’s commitment to early detection, support, and resilience. A prize will be awarded to the winning designer.
