Ayatollah Khamenei, Iran's Supreme Leader, stated on Wednesday that Israel's attack on Iran is a significant error. In response to US President Donald Trump's warning for Iran to "unconditionally surrender," Khamenei emphasized that Tehran does not respond favorably to threats.
"Israel has made a grave mistake and will face consequences for it," he declared during a speech. He asserted that Iran will not accept a peace or war that is imposed upon it.
Addressing Trump's threats, Khamenei remarked, "Those familiar with Iran's history understand that Iranians do not respond well to threats." He also delivered a strong warning to the United States, stating, "They should recognize that Iran will not capitulate, and any US attack will result in serious, irreversible consequences."
Early Wednesday, a series of intense Israeli airstrikes struck the Iranian capital, marking a significant escalation in a week-long military campaign aimed at undermining Iran's nuclear and military capabilities. These attacks occurred just hours after Donald Trump urged residents of Tehran to evacuate and called for Iran's "unconditional surrender."

Trump also stated that the U.S. is aware of the location of Iran's Supreme Leader, Khamenei. "We know exactly where the so-called 'Supreme Leader' is hiding. He is an easy target but is currently safe. We are not planning to take him out—at least not for now. However, we do not want missiles aimed at civilians or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter," he posted on Truth Social.
Thousands Flee Tehran
On Wednesday, thousands of residents were fleeing Tehran following overnight bombings by Israeli warplanes. According to Reuters, sources indicated that Donald Trump is exploring options that may involve joining Israel in strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities.
Israel reported that 50 aircraft targeted approximately 20 locations in Tehran, including facilities involved in the production of raw materials, components, and manufacturing systems for missiles.
The conflict has resulted in at least 224 fatalities in Iran, with 1,277 others injured. In Israel, at least 24 people have lost their lives since Iran initiated its retaliatory attacks.
