Mining services company Perenti has secured a contract worth A$1.1 billion to conduct underground mining operations at the Mana gold complex in Burkina Faso. The contract was awarded to Perenti’s subsidiary, Underground Mining Services Burkina Faso (UMS), by Semafo Burkina Faso, which is a subsidiary of Endeavour Mining and the operator of the Mana gold complex.
Mark Norwell, Managing Director and CEO of Perenti, commented, “This contract aligns with our financial guidance for 2025 and will significantly contribute to our performance in 2026 and beyond. Our team consistently provides exceptional value to our clients, as evidenced by this long-term contract for expanded operations at the Mana complex.”
Under a five-year contract, UMS will manage mining operations in the Siou and Wona regions of the high-grade Mana gold complex, located in Burkina Faso's Houndé Greenstone Belt. The services provided will encompass underground development, production, and other related mining activities. These operations will be carried out by Africa Underground Mining Services Burkina Faso, a joint venture between Perenti and the mining equipment company Dynamic Mining Supply.
