BJP MLA T. Raja Singh announced his resignation from the party on Monday amid ongoing leadership disputes within the Telangana unit. His decision followed media reports indicating that N. Ramchander Rao would be appointed as the new president of the BJP's Telangana branch. In a letter addressed to G. Kishan Reddy, the president of BJP Telangana, Singh expressed that the appointment of Ramchander Rao was a "shock and disappointment" to him.
He stated, "According to media reports, Shri Ramchander Rao is set to be appointed as the new BJP State President for Telangana. This decision has not only shocked and disappointed me but also countless Karyakartas, leaders, and voters who have supported the party through every challenge." Singh shared this letter on X (formerly Twitter).
