During an outreach event in Algeria, Asaduddin Owaisi criticized Pakistan for its support of terrorism, specifically mentioning Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, a terrorist who fathered a child while incarcerated. The AIMIM chief addressed the Indian community in Algeria on Saturday, highlighting the connections between terrorists and the Pakistani administration.
Owaisi stated, "There was a terrorist named Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi—no other country would permit a terrorist facing charges to act in such a manner. He became a father while in prison. The trial only advanced when Pakistan was placed on the FATF Grey List," illustrating how international pressure has impacted the nation known for backing terrorism.
"This issue extends beyond South Asia. As the fourth-largest economy, we must consider the implications. Do we want the violence to spread throughout South Asia? It is crucial for global peace to address Pakistan, the primary supporter of terrorism. Pakistan needs to be reinstated on the FATF Grey List," Owaisi stated.
